Held to escape “business as usual” and provide focused time for celebrating team achievements, sharing ideas, insights, future company visions and ambitions, the day was out of this world!
The Forepoint Team and some of our key supply partners assembled in the ‘dome shaped’ First Light Pavilion for breakfast. This progressed into insightful and entertaining presentations by all members of the Forepoint team.
Our focus for CAP2 was sharing progress to date on our ‘Creative Captivation’ transformation journey. Team presentations were about how we’re evolving our ways of working, and specifically outlined our progress, key learnings and benefits experienced to date. Refining the building blocks of our ongoing business transformation and the development of our robust Forepoint Operating System. It’s a new dawn for Forepoint, that will help us grow as a business, as well as deliver an even better offer and service to our clients.
‘Small Steps’ and ‘Giant Leaps’
Our business transformation journey started in late 2021. It was driven by our desire to reset the corporate communications landscape and to deliver a superior offer and service to our clients as well as achieving our own business growth.
The initial research and extensive strategy planning stage led us to our first CAP1 day in 2023, where we ‘set the scene’ of our impending transformation journey, what was to come, and actions needed to achieve our goals to the wider Forepoint team.
Fast forward to 5 March 2024 CAP2 day – the perfect platform to share the significant achievements and progress we’ve made to date in ‘delivering’ our transformation, accomplishment of key goals as well as exciting future company developments.
Celebrating our achievements
The afternoon of CAP2 was dedicated to our Big ‘F’ Awards – an opportunity to celebrate, recognise and reward the great contributions made by members of the Forepoint team throughout 2023.
Our ‘Team’ Award was voted for by all the staff at Forepoint. It went to the ‘Forepointer’ they felt was the best all round performer and team player of 2023. From CAP1 runner up to CAP2 winner, our Senior Designer, Alicia Kilshaw became our first award winner of the day – and by quite some margin! Runner-up spots went to our Senior Designer, Karen Garbagnoli and Technical Manager, Andrew Craig who both received a ‘feather in the cap’.
Our ‘Behaviours’ Award was also voted for by all the staff at Forepoint and was awarded to the person who best demonstrated our Forepoint behaviours throughout 2023. Senior Designer, Abi Stones was our ‘Behaviours’ winner! Runner-up spots went to our Marketing Lead, Louise Welsh and Creative Director, Ali Heggie who both received a ‘feather in the cap’.
Our ‘Values’ Award was a new addition for CAP2, voted for by Forepoint partners Steve and Keith. It went to the person who best demonstrated the Forepoint values throughout 2023. Our Admin Manager, Emma Jones took home the honours, and runner-up spots went to our Relationship Manager, Val Ockwell and Project Manager, Jade Jones, who both received a ‘feather in the cap’.
Finally, our ‘Partner’ Award was voted for by Forepoint partners Steve and Keith. It recognised the best performer of 2023. Senior Designer, Simon Allen was our much-deserved winner! Runner-up spots went to our Senior Designers, Abi Stones and Simon Birch who both deservedly received a ‘feather in the cap’.
The Dark Side of the Moon
The afternoon was concluded with an exclusive viewing of Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark side of the Moon’ in the Space Dome auditorium. An immersive journey through time and space, combining captivating visuals choreographed to Pink Floyd’s soundtrack. We also experienced the ‘First Light’ exhibition which unveiled the fascinating history of Jodrell Bank and its iconic Lovell Telescope. Both providing more amazing experiences to what was already an awe-inspiring day.
To infinity and beyond!
A huge thank you to our friends and supply partners who joined us for CAP2.
Thanks to photographer Luke Richards and videographer, Garth Dew for capturing the day on film, to Nicky Ross from Stanley Road, Katherine Wildman from Hayden Gray, and finally to Ralph Ardill – whose help and insights have been invaluable to us during our transformation mission.
Au Revoir CAP2, you left us starstruck…
Roll on CAP3.
