  John Maeda / KPCB

John Maeda is an American executive, designer, technologist. His work explores the area where business, design, and technology merge. He was a Professor at the MIT Media Lab for 12 years, and then became the President of the Rhode Island School of Design from 2008 to 2013. He is currently Design Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers where he advises startups on the business impact of design. He also serves on the Board of Directors of consumer electronics company Sonos and global advertising firm Wieden+Kennedy.

Julie Zhuo leads the design team focused on content, sharing, and core experiences at Facebook. She has been at Facebook since 2006 helping the service grow from 8 million to over 1 billion people. She writes regularly about design, technology and life observations on Medium.


  Tobias van Schneider / Semplicelabs, Formerly Spotify

Tobias van Schneider is a German award-winning designer raised in Austria & currently living in New York City. He had the privilege of working with companies such as Red Bull, BMW, Google, Wacom, Sony, Toyota, Ralph Lauren, Bwin & more. Former Lead Product Designer & Art Director at Spotify & serving on the AIGA Board of Directors in New York.


  Jason Mayden / Accel Partners

Jason Mayden is a Designer, Lecturer, Artist, Collector of curious and wonderfully crafted goods, Sports Junkie, Book Worm, Equality in Education Advocate, 1990’s Hip Hop Enthusiast and a Social Innovator. Currently, Mayden is a strategic advisor on the topic of Design for MarkOne, the makers of the Vessyl, the first Designer-In-Residence at Accel Partners and a Media Designer/Lecturer at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University aka the d.School. Prior to his various current endeavors, Mayden had a successful career as the Sr. Global Design Director for Jordan Brand, a division of Nike Inc.


  Evan Sharp / Pinterest

While in architecture school in 2009, Evan Sharp started Pinterest with two friends as a fun side project. He later left Facebook to lead the design and front-end engineering of Pinterest full time. Their website and mobile app enables users to collect and share their favourite images. In large part due to its simplicity and beautiful execution, Pinterest has quickly skyrocketed to success with more than 30 million users globally and a $1.5 billion valuation.
